OPAL (Outdoor Play & Learning)

In April 2024, the school signed up to the OPAL primary mentorship program. OPAL stands for Outdoor Play and Learning. It aims to develop real and engaging play opportunities for children of all ages across the school.

At Swanwick Primary School, we are strongly believe that children should be children. We want to make their Swanwick years full of engaging play opportunities. We want all children to look back fondly on the start they received at Swanwick and we believe OPAL will help us to create this.

Meet the OPAL Play Team

The school has a dedicated team to develop play across the school. The team is fully involved in rolling out the OPAL program across school. They meet on a frequent basis to discuss and plan for all things play related.
