EYFS Learning Landscape

We have been on an exciting journey during 2023-2024, transforming our inside and outside Learning Environments to maximise learning opportunities. We are so proud of the end results and hope that all our children love the setting as much as we do!

Our EYFS classrooms comprise of two indoor classrooms (Conkers and Acorns) with a joining corridor and an outdoor wrap-around classroom. The children access the 3 spaces throughout each day.

Children belong to either Conkers or Acorns and will have a Key Class Teacher. We have 2 Full time Teaching assistants with a wealth of preschool, Nursery and Primary experience. The 2 Teachers and 2 TAs make up the core teaching group for EYFS.

Across the two classrooms there are a range of learning centers. Both rooms have Cosy reading snugs, Writing Centers and Number stations. Each classroom has a large Role Play Center and they then share a range of other stations such as the Construction Zone, Creation Station and Dough Stop.

Our outdoor classroom is a bit louder, messier and bigger! It is equipped with a large range of activities including; a Mud Kitchen, Sand Tractor Tyre, Large Builder's Yard, Balance Wall, Outdoor Maths Equipment, Performance Stage, Den Kits, Easel and lots of room for Physical activities!
